Lumière sur les Cités will stop!

Brussels/Brüsel - at the end of June the club of Obscure Fans Lumière sur les Cités will stop.

Philippe Blampain has announced this news in a forum for fans. The decision was made by Francois Schuiten and Benoit Peeters.

The current members will get "Un tiré à part sur toile d'un tableau d'Augustin Desombre". The web site will stay but with some changes. You can read the French discussion about this topic at the BDParadiso forum. (May 18, 2001)

Brussels/Brüsel - After Pierre Dupoy deputy-mayor in charge of Interurban Affairs has announced the news about Brüsel joining the Permanent Obscure Exhibit Council. There has been quite some rumours about this Exhibit.

De Brock isn't Robick!

Brussels - One of our reporters found the letter from the Belgium professor Jean-Paul Van Bendegem that is mentioned in the Guide des Cités.

In this letter Van Bendegem explains that De Brock, the author of Le Mystère d'Urbicande and the famous Urbatect Eugen Robick can't be the same person.

He has analyzed the formulas of De Brock and Robick and found differences but also striking similarities! (May 30, 2000).

Schuiten won't design Comic Museum Groningen?!

Groningen - The association of Dutch Comics has to find a different location for the new Comic Museum in Groningen, Netherlands.

Due to the lack of fundings the building designed by François Schuiten can't be build. The museum will now be located somewhere in a small office building. (May 9, 2000)
